Pre-Made Blades

One Ply & Three Ply Blades

Skölla Mark I

The Skolla Mk1 is our original one-ply blade, An immensely powerful and spinny beast, the Mk 1 is perfect for big hitting away from the table.

Skölla Mark II

A subtle refinement of the original Mark 1 model, with a more refined and polished playing feel, that still retains all the massive spin, speed, control and hitting power of the original.

Skölla

The Skolla 7 is a phenomenal and highly unusual one-ply that takes great advantage of Skollawood's unique mechanical properties. It has all the spin, control and playing feel of a typical one-ply blade, but still flexes considerably when looping, adding extra dwell-time and additional spin to all your FH and BH brush strokes. It blends the delicious playing feel and vibration of a super-stiff hinoki/cypress one-pls, with the massive flex, dwell time and spin of popular high flex Chinese looping-style blades.

Skölla JP

A dedicated j-pen version of one of our most popular one-ply blades, the Skolla Mark II. (...a C-pen version is also coming soon)

Akela

The Akela is the Rolls-Royce-like pinnacle of Wakkibat's entire line-up of all-wood blades. Sequentially-sliced outer veneers of soft Australian Red Cedar provide the Akela with phenomenal spin and a buttery-soft sense of touch in the short game or while serving. Meanwhile under the hood, a one-piece 7mm Sköllawood timber core acts as its highly refined twelve cylinder power-plant, imparting the blade with enormous and effortless driving power, even when looping at great distance away from the table.

Hati

Similar in construction to its sister-blade the Akela, the Hati boasts a solid Skollawood core and two super-spiny outer layers of Queensland Maple. This gives it a slightly harder playing feel than the melted-butter soft touch of the Akela, but without sacrificing spin, speed, or control.

All-Wood Multi-Ply Blades

Bryo SD (Super Dwell)

Spin-focussed variation on the Bryo ST. Its combination of medial and outer woods give it the most dwell time of all our blades, enabling enormous levels of spin during general play.

Bryo ST (Standard)

Enormously versatile all-round 5-ply blade with very good attacking potential. This blade started life as a seat-of-the-pants experiment based around some classic blades from the 1980's. Early prototypes exceeded expectations, so the whole project quickly took on a life of its own.

Yabbie

The Yabbie and Yabbie Light are currently our most popular attacking blades, and with good reason!. A high density balsa core and medials team with its Australian hardwood outer layers, and sturdy Australian hardwood handle scales to make the Yabbie a fast, versatile, and supremely well-balanced blade, that gives all new meaning to the concepts of "control" and "linear bounce"

Yabbie Light

The Yabbie light is a slightly faster and lighter variant of our extremely popular attacking blade, the Yabbie. Its slightly harder playing feel and greater levels of balsa effect make the Yabbie Light slightly more attacking oriented than its slightly heavier and more linear sibling.

Black Betty 🥇

Very light attacking balsa blade with exceptional control that excels close to the table. Perfect for both inverted and pips out rubbers, and blade of choice of current 2024 English O-70 National Champion, Mr Geoff Salter.

Maelstrom

Well balanced all round blade with wonderful playing feel during brush strokes, such as FH and BH loops, or when serving.

Dugite

A solid and highly beautiful all-wood blade with a solid playing feel and surprisingly large speed reserves.

Drop Bear

The Drop Bear features outers of beautiful (and very hard!) Queensland Walnut.
